The Challenge
Time Out Market brings together a curated line-up of a city’s best restaurants under one roof. The Bahrain edition, at City Centre Bahrain, showcases 13 of the Kingdom’s standout kitchens, and the brand needed a partner to take it from pre-launch through opening and into ongoing operation.
The opening alone was a significant undertaking: a large venue, a hard launch date, multiple stakeholders, and the expectation of a debut worthy of an internationally recognised name.
The Strategy
We won the scope on a proposal to be their marketing partner, then flexed our standard deliverables to fit what the opening actually demanded. Rather than holding rigidly to a monthly retainer structure, we reshaped the launch month entirely around pre-opening and opening needs.
Given the scale of the venue, we brought in an additional videographer and photographer team alongside our own and coordinated production across everyone, while also working between the local team, other media partners, and the visiting Time Out Market global team.
What We Did
We ran the full launch arc, then transitioned into business-as-usual management. We shoot on-site roughly once a week, sometimes more, producing content and covering the venue’s full event calendar, from family programming and magicians through to special activations.
Because the vendor line-up evolves, we run a continuous tease-and-launch cycle: when a restaurant exits and a new one joins, we build anticipation with “coming soon” content, then launch the new vendor properly, the same way we handle any activation.
We coordinate this across the local team and the global brand team, with monthly meetings where the group leadership reviews the work.
